When we talk about terrazzo cleaning, we usually mean restoring, repair and polishing. As terrazzo ages, the sealer that it was coated with originally will yellow. Stains will develop, as well as cracks and pit holes. To properly clean it, it must be stripped by grinding it with course grinding heads, and then polished using a finer grade grinding head, much like when sanding wood, we begin with a course sandpaper and progress to a finer grade.

In this video, we are actually seeing a newly installed terrazzo floor, which is rather rare these days. You will notice, however, that instead of a toxic sealer, that will yellow with time, Colonial Floor Care uses a sophisticated grinding method that seals the floor, creating a durable, shiny surface, without the use of toxic chemicals.

Today, we are able to easily  erase away the dullness and scratches that comes eventually especially in high traffic areas of the Marble.  How ever this material is soft and porous and easily scratched if not sealed properly when installed.
